The Americas Liquidity Solutions & Account Services (LS&AS) team covers Canada, the United States and Latin America providing advanced solutions for clients to manage and optimize their global operating liquidity. Our product set operates globally in real-time to support our most complex clients as they manage their liquidity across legal entities, geographies, currencies and time-zones.
The evolution of Fintech and E-commerce 'platform' business models as well as the fast pace development of data solutions to drive business growth and opportunities, has fueled the growth of Virtual Solutions, third-party money (3PM) relationships and the need to develop data driven solutions for banks such as JP Morgan. As a global provider of cash management and liquidity solutions, Treasury Services is well-placed to establish itself as a leader in this new area, creating exciting opportunities to increase liquidity and revenue streams.
The Liquidity and Account Solutions Product Architecture VP will report to the Americas Account Solutions Product Leader and covering the Americas region. Partnering with the global and local product development teams you will be responsible for shaping a clear vision of how we can create new solutions that meet and anticipate the different client ecosystem (Financial institutions, e-commerce, small businesses, and large corporates) needs to drive business growth. You will develop and lead the account solutions product strategy, roadmap and commercialization activities for all Account solution with a primary focus on virtual and digital solutions in the Americas
The role requires a strong grasp of the big-picture with a detailed knowledge of the fast changing client and regulatory landscape. You will define a clear vision of how we can leverage our products and account services to create solutions for evolving Treasury needs, new virtual solutions, E-Money and Authorized Payment Institution clients as well as understanding how these needs shape our platforms and our operating models across the region will be critical.
Job responsibilities
- Execute for the region the strategic direction of Account solutions with a primary focus on Virtual Solutions.
- Build the product-lifecycle process for the region including the market research, product intake, product requirements, design, development, operationalization and product communication and training for a successful Go-To-Market by partnering with the relevant local and regional functions
- Ensure the team is using the latest insights into market trends around client cash management requirements, legal & regulatory changes and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Working with local and regional stakeholders across, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Client Service, Technology to define core functionality, features and governance structures.
- Be the "go-to" expert for all matters related to Virtual Solutions products, such as physical and virtual account solutions, third party money, pass through deposit insurance and regulatory reporting
- Lead and design the products solutioning capability to connect customer needs with current or future product capabilities
- Ensure the team effectively manages day-to-day requests from Sales and Service to help them best support our clients. Provide direct support to clients during and post implementation as required.
- Work closely with functional partners, pre and post releases to ensure new product functionalities are delivered as per specified business requirements.
- Regularly engage senior stakeholders and management teams on progress and on new developments.
- Work closely with the other product managers and sales teams globally, to deliver integrated solutions to clients and deliver high quality marketing collateral for the new product.
- Work closely with functional partners in Risk, Legal and Compliance across the Americas region to ensure new regulations are fully understood and acted upon efficiently and in a timely manner. Ensure risks and impact by segment are fully appreciated and documented appropriately. Ensure additional controls are in place where needed.
- Partner with the regional and country teams to ensure management framework is in place end-to-end, including all activities related to client on-boarding, operational processes, credit, legal, tax and compliance. Maintain and adapt controls as necessary in line with regulatory and legal changes.
- Partner with regional and country teams to support internal and external audit and regulatory reviews in a timely and coordinated manner.
- Coordinate with country teams how to actively identify, manage and remediate any risk issues and develop CSA action plans as necessary. Proactively contribute to regular product risk and compliance reviews.
- Work with functional partners in operations and technology to achieve minimization of manual processes and activities.
- Build and maintain Know Your Product (KYP) document.
- Manage your product communication and training
- Work closely with the regional and global teams as well as other Product Managers across other product families within Wholesale Payments to capture cross impact and related opportunities.
- Work with functional partners to set a collaborative environment to meet business objectives and manage end-to-end controls.
- Collaborate effectively with Commercial Bank and Security Services colleagues to leverage best practice.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proven people manager with business acumen and a focus on delivering what was agreed.
- Previous product management experience in Marketplaces, E-Commerce Companies, Fintechs, Treasury Transformation/cash management strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in leading business transformation and innovation within complex organizations with clear examples of successful product launches
- Product design capabilities such as User Research, UX/UI strategy, product analytics, and human centered design methodologies strongly preferred
- Exposure to regulatory environment and risk & remediation frameworks preferred.
- Fintechs, E-Commerce, Marketplaces, Banking, Treasury, Financial Management knowledge, cash management preferred
- Track record of clear communication and strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
