Key Responsibilities:

Basic Skills:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and systems.

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.

• Apply security patches and system updates regularly.

• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Collaborate with IT and development teams on infrastructure projects.

• Document system configurations and procedures.

• Ensure system security and compliance with policies.

• Provide technical support and guidance to users.

Automation and Scripting:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks, including deployment, configuration management, and system updates.

• Utilize tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to automate system provisioning and management.

• Create monitoring scripts to track system performance, detect anomalies, and generate alerts for proactive issue resolution.

Infrastructure Management:

• Administer and maintain Linux-based private cloud systems, including servers, storage, and networking components.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for efficiency and reliability.

Support and Maintenance:

• Provide technical support for Linux systems, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of issues.

• Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to maintain system integrity and security.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce security policies to protect the private cloud environment from unauthorized access and data breaches.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to data protection and privacy.

Collaboration and Documentation:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features or improvements to the private cloud infrastructure.

• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.


Qualifications:

• Senior SME Level with 10-12 years of experience required

• Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a System Administrator with a focus on Linux-based systems.

• Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu) and cloud technologies (e.g., OpenStack, Kubernetes).

• Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl for automation and monitoring purposes.

• Strong knowledge and experience working with commercial backup storage systems.

• Familiarity with network protocols, virtualization technologies, and storage solutions.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

• Experience in supporting Telecom IT systems is a plus.
