Role: Linux Server Migration Engineer
Location: Millcreek, UT - Onsite
Duration: 14 Months
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute server, VM, and data center migrations (P2V, V2V, site-to-site)
Manage VMware ESXi/vSphere environments including vMotion, Storage vMotion, DRS, and HA
Configure and troubleshoot iSCSI storage networking and LVM migrations
Develop automation scripts and migration runbooks for streamlined deployments
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex Linux infrastructure issues, and ensure security compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable migration solutions
Support container and virtualization platforms including Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker
Participate in CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives
Required Skills
4+ years of hands-on Linux system engineering experience
Strong expertise in Linux administration, VMware ESXi/vSphere, iSCSI, and LVM
Experience with large-scale server/data center migrations
Knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools
Scripting experience with Bash and Python
Strong troubleshooting, networking, and performance tuning skills
