We’re offering multiple lifeguard certification classes this spring to help you get started, click here for more information. Applicants are encouraged to apply before obtaining certification. Additionally, applicants that participate in the City of Napa Lifeguard Training courses are eligible for partial refund after a full summer worked.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Education and Experience:
Any combination of education, experience, and training that would provide the best qualified candidates.
Must be at least fifteen (15) years of age at time of application and have the ability to obtain a work permit.
Some related work experience is desirable, such as working in recreation, sports, or a classroom environment; working with the public of all ages; or performing customer service, and record keeping duties.
Previous participation in group sports, volunteer activities or a general interest working with youth is also desirable.

What happens next? We will review applications and all supplemental materials to select the best qualified applicants to continue in the process. Screening will include a review of minimum qualifications, application appraisal rating of education, training and experience and relevance of background qualifications related to the target job as well as supplemental questions if applicable.
