  • The United States Space Force (USSF) at Cape Canaveral SFS /Patrick SFB, FL is searching for a Lifecycle Logistics Specialist for SLD 45/RM (NH-0346-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent). Description: Join the United States Space Force (USSF) as a Logistics Management Specialist and play a vital role in ensuring America's assured access to space. As a key member of the Range Management organization at Space Launch Delta 45, you will apply your expertise to the sustainment, readiness, and modernization of the critical systems that support our nation's space launch and test activities. In this position, you will be responsible for planning and executing the cradle-to-grave logistics support strategies for a portfolio of cutting-edge modernization and sustainment projects. You will analyze complex technical systems, determine the optimal support requirements, monitor project execution to ensure logistics deliverables are on time and on budget, and assess fielded systems to ensure they continue to meet mission needs affordably. As a logistics subject matter expert, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure our national assets remain safe, suitable, and effective. Apply now to find your purpose in the U.S. Space Force! Ideal Candidate: Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred. However, this requirement may be substituted with direct experience in life cycle logistics or a related discipline. Experience: Demonstrated experience in applying life cycle logistics principles to the acquisition and sustainment of complex systems in a mission-critical environment (e.g., defense, aerospace). Experience planning and executing elements of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), such as sparing, technical data, training, and maintenance support. A strong technical background with experience evaluating system designs and developing optimal support strategies. Experience working with military maintenance concepts and technical data is strongly desired. Certifications/Training: Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification in Life Cycle Logistics is highly desirable. Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Ability to apply life cycle logistics principles to the acquisition and sustainment of complex systems in a mission-critical environment (e.g., defense, aerospace). 2. Ability to plan, deliver, and manage Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements, such as sparing, technical data, training, and maintenance support, throughout the product life cycle. 3. Knowledge of systems engineering principles and their application to influence system design for key logistics factors such as reliability, maintainability, and supportability. 4. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, and other stakeholders.
