- Supervises and monitors the assigned shift operation of the agency Emergency Action Center (EAC).
- Responsible for assigned personnel and their compliance with rules, regulations and procedures.
- Coordinates communication functions with the South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC), State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), other law enforcement agencies, and other state agencies during emergencies and on a daily basis communicates with the agency personnel and Admin. Duty Officer on non-emergency and emergency functions as a central communications center.
- Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays.

A high school diploma and relevant experience. A bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
- A high school diploma and three (3) years experience in correctional, security, military, or police work to include one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- A degree in criminal justice or a related degree may substitute for supervisory experience year for year (associate and above = 1 year).
- Must be certified by the SCDC Training Academy and successfully complete the basic supervisory course within six (6) months of entry into the position.
- Must be certified to operate the NCIC SLED/CJIS computer system and other necessary equipment within six (6) months of entry into the position.
