$26.50 to $31/appt. and a Free YMCA Membership!

Under the direct supervision of the Health and Wellness Director, the Licensed Massage Therapist is responsible for conducting massage appointments to the YMCA membership. The position is responsible for demonstrating YMCA leadership competencies to ensure the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester are conveyed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Provide individual massage, which follows the sound scientific information of the Licensed Massage Therapist.

· Build relationships with members to help them pursue their total body care goals.

· Deliver an amazing, safe, and therapeutic experience with every service.

· Arrive prepared and on time for all appointments.

· Ensure massage room is comfortable for members and cleaned appropriately at end of appointment.

· Maintain all required certifications.

· Attend all required meetings and trainings.

· All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• The candidate must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Possess current NYS license to practice as a Massage Therapist.
• Must have at least one year experience.
• Possess CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
• High level of attention to detail and quality of services and facilities.
• Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, maturity and must be able to work independently

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to stand for entire shift.

· Must be able to stoop and bend.

· Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push.
