Travel Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Mental Health Coordinator

Pay Rate: $56.60/hour

Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Initial)

Shift: Day Shift | 8-Hour Shifts

Schedule: Weekdays and Weekends

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to serve as a Mental Health Coordinator within a structured correctional healthcare environment. This position focuses on delivering non-medical clinical mental health services to an adult inmate population, including assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and crisis intervention.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, efficiency, and professionalism, while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to all regulatory and facility standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and psychosocial assessments through clinical interviews and review of available records
  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, functional level, and clinical progress
  • Provide individual counseling, therapeutic interventions, and crisis management services
  • Perform mental health evaluations and determine appropriate interventions and referrals
  • Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and evaluations accurately and timely in the healthcare record
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information, records, and materials at all times
  • Apply evidence-based psychological counseling theories and techniques in clinical practice
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust care plans as clinically indicated
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards within a correctional healthcare setting

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in a comparable role
  • Active LCSW license (or LPC / LMFT, as applicable) in the state of practice
  • Experience in correctional, forensic, or institutional mental health settings preferred



*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
