Primary Objective

Entry-level Researcher position at Thomson Reuters Court Express. This individual is responsible for learning CXP systems and processes, completing CXP training, and handling research requests both independently and with supervision. The role includes completing research requests and performing all duties aligned with CXP researcher metrics.


Experience

  • Entry-level position
  • 6 months of legal experience preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred


Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the court system and legal documents is helpful, but not required


Major Areas of Accountability

  • Complete the CXP training program and develop familiarity with the U.S. court system and key pleadings across case types
  • Become proficient with DRR/DD research tools and platforms, including court websites, Extranet, Westlaw (WL), PACER, etc., and understand when to use each
  • Complete client research requests for the appropriate department
  • Adhere to DRR/DD performance metrics
  • Provide professional, informed responses to client inquiries and intake new requests
  • Apply strong customer service skills when communicating with clients
  • Demonstrate effective time management, including prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines within standard work hours
  • Learn CXP pricing structure and complete accurate, timely billing for client requests
  • Maintain clear and detailed notes on research requests to support team collaboration
  • Support team members and assist other researchers as needed
  • Follow all departmental procedures and guidelines

Access

  • Access to CXP order fulfillment and tracking systems, including Extranet, OrderTrack, and Westlaw (WL)
  • Access to various court websites and databases required to complete research requests

The pay rate that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $22/hr USD
