Our team is committed to delivering high-quality legal representation with a client-focused approach. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our growing practice. We are a small firm, so we are looking for someone who is excited to work hands on with multiple attorneys on various projects.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional interested in building a career in this field. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with legal research, document drafting, client communication, and calendar/case management. While prior legal experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who possesses strong foundational skills and willingness to learn & establish themselves within our firm.


This is an in-office position and we are not able to provide relocation assistance at this time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda or summaries.
  • Draft, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
  • Visit local courthouses to file documents as needed.
  • Assist in case preparation for hearings, trials, and client meetings.
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate with clients, courts, and other legal professionals.
  • Support attorneys in practice areas including civil litigation, business law, contract law, real estate, employment issues, probate, and estate planning.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable talking on the phone.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Prior experience in a law office or legal setting, preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, court procedures, and document formatting.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and professionalism with clients.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
