Our law firm client in west Houston is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a busy Trusts & Estates practice. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for a legal assistant with several years of law firm experience who enjoys working closely with attorneys and clients on sophisticated estate matters.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide legal and administrative support to attorneys in a Trusts & Estates practice
  • Prepare and format estate planning documents, correspondence, deeds, and related legal materials
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and track important deadlines
  • Maintain and organize client files and legal documents (electronic and hard copy)
  • Coordinate filings through eFile Texas, the Secretary of State, and real property records when required
  • Assist with document production, including Bates labeling and redactions
  • Prepare electronic closing binders and assist with transactional matters
  • Review and process pre-bills and invoices
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, and CLE registrations for attorneys


Qualifications


  • 4+ years of law firm experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary
  • Experience supporting Trusts & Estates or estate planning attorneys strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with legal billing systems such as Aderant is a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
