The Legal Assistant will be responsible for supporting attorneys with various tasks, including document preparation, client communication, and case management. They will assist in preparing for court appearances and managing case files. The individual will also handle administrative functions to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

What You’ll Do:

As our client’s Legal Assistant, you’ll play a key role in keeping their attorneys organized and their clients supported. Every day will look a little different, but you can expect to:

  • Draft, edit, and organize legal documents and correspondence.
  • Keep case files up-to-date.
  • Help manage calendars, schedule meetings, and track important deadlines.
  • Assist with filings (e-filing).
  • Be a friendly and professional point of contact for clients.
  • Support other administrative needs.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — you keep things from slipping through the cracks.
  • Tech-savvy: comfortable with Microsoft Office and (ideally) legal software.
  • A great communicator, both in writing and in person.
  • Someone who can juggle tasks and deadlines without getting overwhelmed.

Qualifications

  • Document Preparation and Case Management
  • E-filing experience (State and Federal)
  • Strong Client Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with office software and legal databases
  • Attention to Detail and Organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Prior experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role
  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field is a plus
  • Familiarity with federal and state court procedures, filings, and legal terminology
