Leadership Consulting Assistant (Account Manager/Trainer)

The Leaders Institute
Arlington, TX

We Are Training the Next Generation of Leaders to Train the Next Generation of Leaders.

The Leaders Institute® is a worldwide team-building company and consulting firm headquartered in Dallas/Ft Worth, Texas. We work with over 400 of the Fortune 500 companies providing leadership development, presentation skills, team building activities, and corporate social responsibility (CSR.)

We are offering an entry-level role for a person who wants to train to become a professional speaker, corporate trainer, and/or author.

This role is on-the-job training in the following areas:

  • Consulting/Problem-Solving: Consult with and help our corporate customers organize team-building activities, CSR events, and professional development training for their employees and team members.
  • Recover Lost or Stagnant Accounts. We have thousands of happy customers who only purchase our services/programs once per year or every other year. So, this role requires someone who can reconnect with and build relationships with these customers.
  • Coaching and Mentoring Skills to help clients unlock untapped potential in themselves and their teams.
  • Event Planning: for keynote speakers and convention activities.
  • Content Development: Learn how to write blog posts that millions of people will see, and maybe host or guest-host our podcasts.
  • Digital Forensics & Event Scouting: You will act as our 'Intelligence Officer,' using social media and digital tools to map out major corporate events and identify the key decision-makers who need our help.

Over the past 25 years, our company has organized team-building charity donations totaling over $8 million. Our activities give bicycles to kids in inner cities, food for homeless families, and comfort items like Teddy Bears and blankets for kids who have lost everything. If you'd like to help us create the next generation of leaders and do something good for your community at the same time, then we welcome you to apply.

This is the entry point to becoming a Partner in the organization. We offer a specific succession plan starting with this position. The succession plan is a simple checklist based on accomplishments within the organization. Our goal is for each Consultant to become an Equity Partner within 10 years.

Here Is the Type of Person We Are Looking For:

We will teach the right person every aspect of our business and industry. However, there are specific qualities that lead to more success in this industry.

  • Problem-Solvers: We are looking for people who love solving problems and helping others learn to solve them.
  • Self-Starters: Our partners will offer training and direction. However, the right candidate will be able to take those ideas and run with them to create fantastic results.
  • Selling Skills: A key part of consulting is generating repeat business from satisfied clients who love our work. The right person will also be able to build their own book of business. (With a lot of help from our team.)
  • Organizational Skills: Many of our clients find out about our work from our hit podcasts, online videos, and our well-researched blog posts. Each of these marketing pieces is created and distributed on a specific timeline. The right candidate will be able to organize regular daily activities to make sure we meet each release deadline.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: This position has a lot of freedom, but it also takes a lot of discipline and work ethic. People who just want to punch a clock and go home early don't do well here. But, then again, when you really enjoy your work... Is it really work?

Our entry-level consultants receive a salary and great benefits. You also have the ability to receive commissions and bonuses based on your work. First-year consultants average over $55K per year. 2nd and 3rd-year consultants average over $75K/year-$105K/year in income. So in this position, you get paid for the work that you are able to do. (The more you learn and the more people you help, the more income you generate for yourself.)

We don't believe in glass ceilings. Your income is a direct reflection of your ability to help our customers. You start with a solid base and benefits, but your growth—both in title and income—is dictated by a clear, merit-based checklist. If you hit the marks, you move up. Period.
