The Vocational Training Center provides bulk-mail opportunities in a structured environment for participants to complete paid contract work at minimum-wage pay. Developing vocational skills and work behaviors necessary to participate in competitive employment situations is emphasized. Additionally, participants are offered various volunteer experiences, tours, educational and recreational outings, health and wellness activities, and so forth when contract work and staffing permit.
The shift for this position is Monday through Friday daylight The IDD Vocational department is a very rewarding place to work, with a staff that works well together. Travel between Pittsburgh (South Side) location and McKeesport location is required. Street parking is available at both locations and/or obtain a UPMC lease lot. The ideal candidate will have prior industrial work experience such as driving a forklift or box truck. The general responsibility of this role is to manage bulk mail contracts, from recruitment to receiving to completion and disposition.
Responsibilities:
· Interface with internal and external customers, program staff, and service recipients to coordinate workflow and execute bulk mail contracts accurately
· Computer proficient.
· Travel between sites and throughout the Mon Valley and greater Pittsburgh region as necessary
· Ability to learn/use basic contract requisition paperwork for billing purposes
· Ability to learn/operate postal software
· Ability to learn/operate bulk-mail equipment (walkie stacker, strapper, folder, wrapper, dolly, etc.)
· Ability to learn/operate/drive box truck
· Bachelor's degree, preferably in Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Psychology, or other human service field. Master's degree preferred.
· Prior experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of behaviorally oriented treatment programs.
· Two years prior experience in an applied setting working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
· Experience with individuals with a dual (MH/ID) diagnosis is highly desirable.
· Demonstrated skill in the development and delivery of instructional programming material.
· Good writing and communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills are essential, as position requires frequent interaction with private sector employers on behalf of the consumers being served.
· Basic computer literacy.

· Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
· Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
· Driver's License
· Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

· Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
