Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise field technicians on electrical testing, maintenance, and commissioning projects (low, medium, and high voltage systems).Plan, coordinate, and execute projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within scope.Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, providing updates and technical guidance.Perform advanced testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on electrical equipment including:Switchgear and circuit breakersPower transformersProtection and control systems (relays)Cables and rotating equipmentInterpret drawings, schematics, and specifications to guide field work.Ensure all work complies with applicable standards (NETA, IEEE, ANSI, OSHA, NFPA 70E, etc.).Review and approve field reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.Mentor and develop junior technicians, promoting technical growth and safe work practices.Coordinate logistics, materials, and equipment required for project execution.Identify and communicate opportunities for additional work or scope changes.Qualifications & RequirementsNETA Level III or IV Certification (or equivalent combination of education and experience).7+ years of hands-on field experience in electrical testing, maintenance, and commissioning.Demonstrated experience leading crews and running projects independently.Strong working knowledge of electrical power systems (480V through EHV).Proficiency in testing methods such as:Insulation resistance, power factor, and Doble testingTransformer testing (TTR, winding resistance, etc.)Relay testing (electromechanical and microprocessor-based)Cable testing (VLF, Tan Delta, HiPot)Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
