Blizzard is looking for aLeadSoftwareEngineer, Unityto join the Hearthstone team, leading our growing Client Foundations team.The team is criticalinarchitecting andbuilding systems thatwillhelp scale our game’s client to reach the largestplayer base with a performant and responsive client.
We are looking for acandidatewithdeep technical expertise with Unity, C#, and .NET, a proven record of leadingengineers through work deep within the game client code,including optimizing formulti-platformdevelopment, working withtechnical artists to build systemsthatscale and provide delightful player experiences.

This role offers a flexible hybrid work week from our Irvine, CA studio location, with a mix of remote and on-site days. While hybrid is the standard arrangement, you're also welcome to work on-site full-time if you prefer.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and growourteam of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and accountabilitywhile being a key code contributor.
Manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring clear communication and alignment acrosspeers anddisciplines.
Proactively surface technical and execution risks, drive open discussion, and ensure they are addressedwithin the Client engineering domain.
Ensure building our game isalmost asmuch fun as playing our game by collaborating withgame developers across our team to ensure their workisdone smoothly.
Partner closelyacross disciplinestooptimizeour game performanceacrossmultipleplatforms.
MinimumRequirements
Deep, hands-onexpertisewith Unity, C#, and .NET,architecting and deliveringprojectsin service of the game client.
Experience building and shipping gamesformultiple platforms,including mobile and PC.
Proven people management experience leading engineering teams in game development; dedication to building inclusive, high-performing teams.
Demonstrated ability to balance technical contribution (coding/architecture) with leadership responsibilities.
Background in live-service games, content pipelines, and iterative gameclientupdates.
Strong cross-functional communication skills, with experience bridging engineering, art, and design.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $121,500.00 - $224,880.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
