As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Cyber Security Line of Business, you are an integral part of team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions. 

Job responsibilities

 

  • Executes security solutions design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to apply knowledge of existing security solutions to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (e.g., product, platform, application owners)
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Security automation: Creating automated systems, such as scripts or cloud functions, to fix common misconfigurations and respond to security events. 
  • Work alongside other software developers to ensure security is integrated into the development process from the start, rather than being an afterthought. 
  • Ensure that cloud infrastructure and processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulations through regular audits.
  • Create and analyze AI threat models to identify and mitigate security risks in and with SaaS AI

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training and or certification on security engineering and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Experience developing security engineering solutions
  • Proficient in coding in one of more languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies and experience with CI/CD, application resiliency, distributed systems, Docker/Kubernetes and security.
     

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Threat analysis: Knowledge of adversary behavior, malware analysis, and reverse engineering is necessary.
  • Security tools: Experience with security tools like SIEM, SOAR, and EDR is valuable.
  • AI/ML Frameworks: Experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn. 
  • Experience with large-scale data processing and scalable system architecture, including databases and networking. 
  • Experience effectively communicating with senior business leaders
