Lead Restoration Technician
Pay: $22-32
Area: Santa Clarita Valley
Schedule: 8:00-5:00 (meet at shop each morning)
On-call schedule: on call one weekend per month; alternating weeknights
Must-haves: IICRC Certification, 4 years experience
Responsibilities and Duties
•Fire Damage-board up, structure stabilization, smoke cleaning & pack out
•Water Damage-extraction, drying, minor demolition & pack out
•Trash removal
•Material/supply delivery
•Mold Remediation
•Restoration-contents manipulation, cleaning, small punch out tasks
•On call rotation for new emergency calls
•Maintain the high quality and standards of the department
•Strengthen the company's image with each customer and their insurance carrier.
•Assessment and Inspection: Evaluate the extent of damage to buildings and structures, including checking for water, fire, or mold damage.
•Emergency Response: Quickly respond to emergency calls, often in situations involving significant property damage.
•Damage Control: Implement immediate measures to prevent further damage, such as boarding up windows, tarping roofs, and removing debris.
•Restoration Work: Perform tasks such as water extraction, drying out structures, and cleaning up after fire damage.
•Demolition: Safely dismantle and remove damaged parts of a structure if necessary, ensuring proper disposal of debris.
•Mold Remediation: Identify and address mold issues caused by water damage, including cleaning, removal, and prevention measures.
•Documentation: Maintain detailed records of the damage, work performed, and materials used. This documentation is often necessary for insurance claims and regulatory compliance.
•Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to building codes.
•Quality Assurance: Ensure that all restoration and construction work meet industry standards and client expectations.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Clarita, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
