This advanced level position will handle a variety of product investigations and serve as the corporate representative in Residential product litigation, as well as oversee management of internal and external product programs.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the manufacture, application, installation, and function of all products produced by Lennox.
  • Educate outside experts (mechanical and/or electrical engineers) on the proper installation, servicing, and identification of parts related to Lennox.
  • Successfully test for certification in National Association of Fire and Explosion Investigators within 1 year.
  • Attend and participate in product investigations across North America, documenting specific aspects related to any Lennox products.
  • Travel to perform investigations (50%-60%).
  • Investigate & analyze Lennox products at fire and explosion events within residential sites.
  • Document and photograph scenes and associated evidence in accordance with NFPA 921 and 1033.
  • Prepare written reports, adequately reporting investigative findings.
  • Research and respond to request for production, interrogatories, and depositions.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of answers to written discovery regarding Lennox equipment.
  • Provide expert testimony for court cases.
  • Participate in product safety audits with our Product Development teams.

What We Are Looking For

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years/expert level experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in the installation, service, and application of residential HVAC and IAQ equipment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent investigative, analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Ability to handle, and prioritize, multiple tasks/requests at one time.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 921 preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $109,000 - $142,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for the BroadBase Incentive (BBI) program with a target payout of 2%. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Location and Schedule: This position is 100% remote, but requires travel approx. 50%-60% of the year.
