Responsibilities:
Provide facility mechanical system engineering and design including utility, plumbing, and HVAC systems preferably in food and beverage facilities.
Proficient in compressed air, steam, pumps, process heating, industrial piping, high-and low-pressure water, wastewater, and other subsystems and HVAC system within manufacturing plants.
Provide engineering, calculations, design and layout of high-and low-pressure water and chilled water systems, steam and condensate systems, thermal fluid systems, compressed air systems, vacuum systems, and other power, utility and plumbing pipe systems.
Prepare engineering calculations, design, AutoCAD 2D drawings, Revit 3D modeling of utility, plumbing and process piping systems, and HVAC systems.
Mentor other mechanical engineers and lead the mechanical design team.
Field evaluating and gathering the required information. 15 to 20% Travel.
Communicate effectively among customers, vendors, and other engineers.
Achieve agreed-upon outcomes within schedules and budgets.
Continuously improve through feedback.
Skills and Requirements:
Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
PE in mechanical engineering
10 to 20 years of facility mechanical system design and engineering experience including utility, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Strong understanding of ASME codes, and USDA, FDA, OSHA, ASHRAE standards/guidelines.
Strong understanding of specifications and excellent attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
