SKILLS REQUIRED:
Primary (Must-Have):
• Extensive experience in New Store Openings (NSO) project management and vendor coordination within a retail environment.
• Hands-on expertise with POS Systems (specifically Aptos POS, Epson, and Toshiba hardware).
• Strong background in hardware lifecycle management, including procurement ordering, logistics, and deployment.
• Proficiency in cross-platform support across Windows and Mobile iOS devices.
• Proven track record supporting payment terminal hardware and payment processing systems (scanners, cash drawers, printers).
Secondary (Good to Have):
• Around 8+ years of progressive experience in IT retail infrastructure and store support operations.
• Advanced ticket troubleshooting skills for complex retail hardware and software integration issues.
• Excellent stakeholder management and internal communication skills to bridge field operations with corporate IT.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead NSO / POS Support Specialist to spearhead a critical on-site initiative in New York, NY. This role focuses heavily on project managing New Store Openings (NSO), managing vendor relationships, and streamlining hardware logistics. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in technical retail infrastructure, driving the successful deployment and support of essential POS hardware, payment terminals, and store systems to ensure seamless day-one retail operations.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and manage technical project coordination and logistics for New Store Openings (NSO), ensuring all timelines and deployment standards are strictly met.
• Oversee hardware ordering, vendor management, and end-to-end logistics for physical store computing environments.
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot POS hardware ecosystems including Aptos POS, Toshiba systems, Epson printers, scanners, and cash drawers.
• Provision and support end-user retail hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile iOS devices, and network printers.
• Manage and resolve escalated hardware support tickets related to payment terminal systems, ensuring robust payment processing functionality.
