Job OverviewScoops Ice Cream & Grille is hiring a Lead Line Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who has kitchen experience and is ready to take on a leadership position, helping manage daily operations while maintaining high food quality and efficiency.
This position starts as part-time with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role.
About UsScoops Ice Cream & Grille is a well-known, community-focused restaurant in Mountville, PA. We serve fresh, made-to-order grille items and premium ice cream in a fun, welcoming environment. In addition to our main location, we operate four food trucks that cater local events, giving team members opportunities for variety and growth.
Pay & Benefits- $17-20 per hour plus tips (based on experience)

Schedule- 20–40 hours per week
- Morning shifts: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Evening shifts: 2:00 PM – Close or 4:00 PM – Close
- Closing times:
- 9:00 PM (Sun–Thurs)
- 10:00 PM (Fri–Sat)
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook food according to Scoops standards
- Lead and support kitchen staff during shifts
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen
- Monitor inventory and assist with prep and stocking
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate effectively with team members during busy service
Qualifications- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and hardworking
- Knowledge of food safety practices (ServSafe preferred)
- Willing to train the right candidate
