Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Managing Attorney or Senior Associate Attorney licensed in Arizona to lead and support our default servicing practice. This role is ideal for a driven attorney who combines strong courtroom experience with leadership capability and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

This position offers a clear path for leadership, including oversight of legal staff and involvement in firm growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Practice

  • Manage a portfolio of Arizona matters, including:
  • Residential and commercial foreclosures
  • Bankruptcy proceedings
  • Evictions and post-sale possession
  • Contested creditor rights litigation
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Appear in court for hearings, mediations, and contested proceedings
  • Provide strategic legal analysis and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with Arizona laws, court rules, and client requirements

Client Engagement

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients
  • Communicate proactively regarding case status, risks, and outcomes
  • Participate in client calls, audits, and portfolio reviews
  • Deliver timely, high-quality service aligned with client expectations

Leadership & Management

  • Supervise attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
  • Review work product for quality and accuracy
  • Mentor and develop junior team members
  • Assist with workflow management, staffing, and process improvements
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and performance management

Growth & Expansion

  • Contribute to the firm’s expansion into personal injury and estate planning
  • Help develop scalable processes and best practices for new service lines

Qualifications

Required

  • Active Arizona Bar license in good standing
  • 3-5 years of experience in default servicing, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or creditor rights
  • Strong courtroom experience and litigation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Arizona foreclosure and bankruptcy procedures
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload
  • Proficiency with legal technology and case management systems
  • Ability to work in-office at least three days per week

Preferred

  • Experience representing mortgage servicers, lenders, or financial institutions
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience
  • Multi-state practice experience
  • Interest in expanding into personal injury and estate planning
