Role Description:

The Lead Clinic Informatics Specialist is a critical member of the Scribe Program. They champion the organization's mission to provide high quality patient care by leading their Clinic Scribe team. The Lead Clinic Scribe acts as an in-clinic expert on all Scribe related matters including: training, coordinating coverage and assistance with implementation of any new clinic initiatives. In addition, they will engage with the Senior Scribes to facilitate successful execution of Scribe activities in each clinic. This new addition to the Oak Street Health team will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day operations of these essential activities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 2-5 clinical informatics specialists (CIS)

  • Train and provide ongoing support of current and new CISs, including but not limited to floor training, note auditing, visit and huddle shadowing, and facilitation of care team conversations

  • Review center-level CIS performance metrics and population health metrics to identify opportunities and best practices

  • Support with initiative rollouts and regional directives as directed by Senior CIS

  • In-clinic point person for coding and workflow questions

  • Ensure effective preparation and completion of Health Review Visits

  • Coordinate in-center and regional CIS coverage

  • Clearly and accurately documenting visits for partnering provider by observing and recording patient encounters/examinations; documenting patient information, history and diagnoses, and medical decision making; ordering lab work, diagnostic tests, initiating referrals, and requesting medical records as directed by partnering provider; assisting in medical management

  • Complete notes and assigned care requisitions in a timely manner

  • Other duties, as assigned

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$18.50 - $42.35

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
