OR Technician Lead

 If you are an experienced OR/Surgical Tech, this is a great opportunity to advance your career. You will work under the direct supervision of the circulating OR RN using your advanced clinical skills in the care of our surgical patients. You will facilitate the daily operations of the Operating Room ensuring efficiency, teamwork, safety and most importantly quality of care.

Your duties and responsibilities may include:

• Assemble supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures
• Prepare sterile instrument tables for your procedures
• Assist in positioning patients and preparing patient’s skin for surgery
• Maintain sterile techniques and actively monitor situations which could lead to breaches in sterile technique
• Assist the surgical team during procedures which may include passing instruments, sponges and sutures
• Assist in patient monitoring during procedures
• Gather equipment for cleaning and sterilization after procedures

Requirements

 · Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program

· Minimum of 2 (two) years previous OR Tech experience

· Certified Surgical Tech (CST) credential required; NBSTSA or equivalent

· Basic Life Support (BLS)

· Clear communication with the surgical board coordinator, physicians and advance care professionals is essential
