Description

TEKsystems is actively hiring an Experienced Cable Technician to support our clients’ Healthcare Division, working primarily in hospital and medical facility environments. This role is ideal for a technician with a strong voice and data experience who wants to grow into critical healthcare systems, including Nurse Call and BDA (Bi-Directional Amplifier/Public Safety) infrastructure. They’ll start by leveraging your existing cabling expertise while being trained and exposed to healthcare-specific systems that are essential to patient safety, clinical communication, and first-responder connectivity.

What They Be Working On:

Install, terminate, test, and label voice and data cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) in active healthcare environments

Read and interpret blueprints, hospital drawings, and low-voltage schematics

Lead and mentor other technicians while maintaining healthcare-grade workmanship standards

Support structured cabling pathways (J-hooks, cable tray, conduit) in patient care areas, MDF/IDFs, and equipment rooms

Assist with installation and infrastructure support for:

Nurse Call systems (patient-to-staff communication)

BDA/DAS systems (public safety and emergency responder coverage)

Work closely with project managers and hospital stakeholders to ensure compliance, cleanliness, and minimal disruption

Maintain strict safety, cleanliness, and infection-control awareness on job sites

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
