Laborer (Temporary)

The City of Columbus, Columbus Water & Power, is hiring for a temporary Laborer position within Watershed at the Griggs location. This is a temporary position that will work up to 480 hours. It will be responsible for performing routine manual labor and completing related duties as required. This position will maintain reservoir property, including mowing, trimming, removing refuse and landscape debris, emptying trash, painting, and sweeping. The laborer will operate light trucks, weed eaters, edgers, chainsaws, and various hand and power tools. They will assist the building maintenance personnel and maintain routine records and reports, including time sheets, work orders, and online training.

The scheduled shiftfor this position isMonday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 7:00 am-3:30 pm.

The reporting location will be 3155 Riverside Dr., Columbus, OH 43221.

Salary is $22.40 – $32.26 per hour.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a valid driver’s license.

Performs minor maintenance on equipment, grounds, and buildings;

Lifts and moves heavy materials (e.g., soil, gravel, etc.);

Drives a vehicle to transport coworkers and/or work materials;
