Responsibilities

  • Get hands-on experience analyzing materials for product qualification, new product development, and technical support
  • Support lab trials and production floor testing, including sample collection and inspections
  • Assist with CTQs, data collection, and test execution for active projects
  • Help develop and follow test plans, completing required testing from start to finish
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data — then translate results into clear, meaningful insights
  • Perform drawdowns and material testing as needed
  • Build knowledge of release liners, tapes, and industrial materials through practical lab work
  • Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Customer Service teams to solve real-world challenges
  • Contribute ideas for equipment improvements and lab capability enhancements
  • Test materials against established specifications and help make data-driven recommendations
  • Assist with generating Technical Data Sheets (TDS) when requested
  • Present data to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Take ownership of standard lab functions such as:
  • Sample and test panel preparation
  • Performance testing and data entry
  • Lab organization and maintenance
  • Observing production processes and collecting in-process samples

Required (or Currently Working Toward):

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field
  • Comfort working in a laboratory environment
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong organization and time‑management skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work well in a team
  • Curiosity, problem‑solving mindset, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently with guidance and mentorship
  • Self-starter motivated to identify and implement laboratories and process improvements
  • Good problem-solving abilities

Nice to Have (But Not Required):

  • Exposure to analytical chemistry or polymer science
  • Interest or experience with tapes, pressure‑sensitive adhesives, or materials testing
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or technical service environments
  • Awareness of PSTC or ASTM testing methods
  • Previous experience with new product introduction and scale-up
