Thank you for stopping by to take a look at the Laboratory Manager role I posted here on LinkedIN, I appreciate it quite a bit.
Allow me to introduce myself for a moment. My name is Tom Welke. I am Partner & VP here at RSM Solutions Inc. I have been recruiting talent for over 24 years and been in the tech sector since the 1990s. I don't say this to bloat or to gloat. I say this because I learned - a long time ago - that looking for work is about as fun as watching your two year old throw a temper tantrum in Target on a Sunday afternoon. Due to this, I like to add some humor to my job descriptions and make this process as human as possible.
Now that we have that settled, we can dive into some of the details for this role:
- I am not working with external vendors on this role
- I can only work with US Citizens or Green Card Holders. So, if you are an H1, OPT, EAD or F1 visa holder (anyone other than a US Citizen or GC Holder), I won't be able to work with you on this role
As with just about any role, social fit is just about as important as anything else for this role. Here are some of those key social fit characteristics:
- Have you ever been in environments where the response to 'why do we do this this way' is typically 'well..we have always done it that way'? That kinds of bores people to tears, doesn't it? We are seeking that individual that will take that answer of 'well...we always did it this way' and turn it on it's ear a bit. So, we are seeking an individual that looks at things differently and can come up with alternatives.
- We are seeking that individual that can break through the status quo a bit. That ability to instill that sense of 'ownership' of their tasks is what we are seeking.
This role is being done onsite in Naples, Florida Monday through Friday. There are relocation dollars available for the right candidate as well.

You will be maintaining instruments, monitoring proficiency testing and quality control, actively being involved in donut and cookie delivery, actively participating in performance improvement, developing new procedures, facilitating employee training and competency assessment, and maintaining supplies and inventory.
