A highly respected law firm is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join its growing employment law practice in San Francisco, California. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys seeking a balanced mix of litigation, counseling, compliance, and transactional employment work while building a sophisticated labor and employment practice.
The successful candidate will advise employers on workplace issues, defend employment-related claims, support wage and hour litigation matters, and provide strategic legal guidance to businesses across a variety of industries. Attorneys will gain direct client exposure, meaningful responsibility, and substantial opportunities for long-term career growth.
This position is actively interviewing qualified candidates and presents a unique opportunity to work on complex employment law matters within a collaborative and nationally recognized practice.

Key Responsibilities
• Represent employers in employment litigation matters in state and federal courts.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
• Draft summary judgment motions, dispositive motions, and complex legal briefings.
• Prepare motions to compel arbitration and other strategic litigation filings.
• Manage discovery requests, responses, and related litigation obligations.
• Draft oppositions to class certification motions and other class action filings.
• Prepare settlement agreements involving wage and hour class and collective actions.
• Advise employers regarding employment law compliance and workplace risk management.
• Review and draft employee handbooks, workplace policies, and employment-related agreements.
• Counsel clients regarding employee performance management, disciplinary actions, and termination decisions.
• Conduct labor and employment due diligence in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions.
• Collaborate with clients to develop practical legal solutions that align with business objectives.

Qualifications
• 2–5 years of labor and employment law experience.
• Experience handling employment litigation matters.
• Background involving single-plaintiff employment claims and class action litigation preferred.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical abilities.
• Experience drafting substantive motions and litigation briefs.
• Familiarity with wage and hour litigation and compliance issues.
• California Bar admission in good standing.
• Federal clerkship experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong client service orientation and business judgment.
