Role Description

This on-site, contract position for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) is located in Highland Park, IL. The RN will provide compassionate care and support to expectant mothers and their families during labor and childbirth. Daily responsibilities include assessing patients' conditions, monitoring vital signs, managing labor progression, and assisting in childbirth. The RN will also collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure safe and positive outcomes while adhering to hospital protocols and standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Labor and Delivery Nursing and general Nursing practices
• Strong foundation in Medicine and expertise in Labor and Delivery procedures
• Ability to apply Critical Thinking skills in high-pressure situations
• Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of Illinois
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; NRP certification preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in a labor and delivery setting is highly preferred
• Adaptability and commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment
