Job Title: LabVIEW Programmer

Job Description

Our Client is seeking a skilled Engineer Software 2 with significant experience in LabVIEW programming, particularly in automated test development. As part of the Marine System Engineering department, you will contribute to developing the next generation test stand data acquisition system using LabVIEW. This role is based on-site in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data acquisition software using LabVIEW for production FAT testing of various products and programs.
  • Develop user manuals for test operators and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Troubleshoot test software issues and incorporate analytical tools and automated report generation.
  • Develop tools to support test preparation, post-data analysis, issue tracking, and test performance metrics.
  • Create tools for test metrics trending with statistical analysis reports.
  • Develop training curriculum and materials to educate engineers on LabVIEW software programming, coding standards, and architectures.
  • Lead the team in LabVIEW programming for test stand software for FAT testing.
  • Provide software maintenance, support, and future development.
  • Collaborate with team members to assess data acquisition hardware and software requirements and specifications for upgraded or new DAS architecture.
  • Ensure adherence to appropriate software standards and practices throughout the development process.
  • Experience with NI PXI platform and PLCs, including programming Allen Bradley PLC ladder logic.

Essential Skills

  • Experience developing test software using LabVIEW programming language.
  • NI LabVIEW Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) certification.
  • Familiarity with PLC ladder logic programming and communication protocols, including EtherNet/IP and Modbus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing test software using LabVIEW programming language.
  • NI LabVIEW Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) certification.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC ladder logic programming and communication protocols, including EtherNet/IP and Modbus.

Work Environment

This position is located on-site in Sunnyvale, CA, within the Marine System Engineering department. The role involves working with NI PXI platforms and PLCs, requiring a collaborative approach to assess and upgrade data acquisition system architectures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $120.00/hr.
