Job Title: Lab technician – Crop Science

Location: Chesterfield, MO

Duration: 12+ months

Pay range: $25-32/hr

Shift: M – F

Biologist (Entry)

Join our innovative Media Prep team within the STL Transformation Production Division and play a vital role in supporting global pipeline. In this dynamic entry-level position, you will contribute to the production of sterile agar and liquid media, ensuring timely delivery to customers worldwide. This opportunity is perfect for motivated individuals eager to gain hands-on experience working with chemical components, laboratory equipment, and sterile techniques in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes teamwork and quality.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, cellular biology, or a related field
• Laboratory experience, with attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively
• Experience with databases is preferred
• Willingness to work up to 40 hours per week, with shift times set by the supervisor

Nice to Have Skills:

• Sterile technique experience
• Experience working with chemicals and laboratory safety protocols

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline
• Prior laboratory or production environment experience is advantageous but not mandatory

Other Requirements:

• Laboratory personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, closed-toed shoes, and pants
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
• Work involves handling various chemicals in a laboratory setting; no heights involved
