Job Opportunity: Market Development Manager (Alcoholic Beverage)

About the Company

We are an emerging alcoholic beverage company on a mission to redefine the Korean drinking experience in the global market. Our flagship products, Her Soju (distilled craft soju) and Sang Makgeolli (traditional sparkling rice wine), represent the pinnacle of Korean heritage and modern sophistication.

Having established a solid foundation, we are now looking for a dynamic, bilingual Market Development Manager(Sales Representative) to lead our expansion into the mainstream American hospitality and nightlife sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mainstream Market Expansion: Identify and secure new accounts in the mainstream (non-Korean) hospitality sector.
  • Strategic Sales: Execute high-impact sales strategies for our premium lines, focusing on Her Soju and Sang Makgeolli.
  • Relationship Management: Manage the full sales cycle, from cold-calling and tasting sessions to recurring order management
  • Brand Advocacy: Conduct professional tastings and educational seminars for bartenders, beverage directors, and sommeliers.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide weekly reports on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to guide our marketing strategy.

Qualifications

  • Language: Native-level fluency in English is a must. Professional proficiency in Korean is preferred to communicate effectively Korean market customers.
  • Cultural Competence: A deep understanding of both Korean heritage and American "Mainstream" business etiquette.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in sales, hospitality, or the beverage industry is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with the right "hustle."
  • Communication: Exceptional storytelling and negotiation skills. You should be comfortable pitching to a beverage director at a luxury hotel.
  • Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive package designed to reward high performers:

  • Base Salary: $48,000 per year.
  • Aggressive Incentive Structure:
  • Tiered Commissions: Earn up to 10% on sales exceeding performance milestones.
  • New Account Bonus: Monthly rewards for every new mainstream account opened(up to $500 for each account).
