Kitchen Production Supervisor
📍 Location: Ruther Glen, VA
💼 Schedule: 1st shift- MUST be available weekends and flexible schedule.
💲 Pay: 47k - 52,500 [WCD can pay 6-8 grand more if very experienced!]
Overview
We are seeking a Kitchen Production Supervisor to lead daily production operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety and quality standards while overseeing production staff and workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations and ensure optimal workflow and productivity
- Conduct morning roll call and pre-operational inspections, including ATP and allergen swabbing
- Set up and manage production lines to ensure efficient processing
- Ensure proper ingredient rotation and accurate material movement using internal systems
- Verify raw materials and maintain accurate Batch Control Records (BCR)
- Ensure production teams follow recipes and SKU-specific requirements
- Maintain consistent supply of ingredients to assembly lines
- Monitor production accuracy through weight checks and QA verifications
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
- Supervise SKU changeovers, including cleaning and sanitizing procedures
- Conduct daily inspections of workstations, equipment, and facility cleanliness
- Enforce PPE usage and employee hygiene standards
- Minimize Work in Process (WIP) and ensure proper storage of finished goods within temperature guidelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior leadership experience in food production or manufacturing preferred
- Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Refrigerated environment (32–36°F)
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 2 hours at a time)
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and overtime as needed
