The K-12 Construction Senior Project Manager leads planning, execution, and oversight of Florida school district construction and capital improvement projects. This role serves as a critical link between executive leadership and project teams, ensuring alignment with District priorities, compliance with State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF), and successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Level of Effort: 40+ hours per week
Location: Lee County, Florida (or near/adjacent) with onsite work from office and project site(s) requirement 3+ days per week.

Position Responsibilities
· Serve as primary liaison between client (school district) leadership and project teams, translating executive priorities into actionable project plans
· Maintain all project communications within Procore or District-approved systems
· Lead and oversee multiple concurrent K-12 construction projects ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget
· Apply working knowledge of SREF requirements and K-12 Codes and Standards to all project activities
· Develop project scopes, schedules, milestones, and budgets
· Lead project teams and assign roles, responsibilities, and resources
· Monitor performance metrics and KPIs; prepare executive-level reports and briefings
· Develop and maintain complete financial tracking and documentation systems
· Review and manage procurement, purchasing, and vendor coordination activities
· Lead site visits, inspections, and quality assurance activities
· Prepare cost estimates and support value engineering efforts
· Identify risks, conflicts, and issues; develop and implement corrective actions
· Serve as single point of contact for assigned projects
· Maintain ongoing communication with District staff, administrators, and stakeholders
· Support community engagement and maintain professional presence in active school environments
· Oversee project closeout including inspections, documentation, and final approvals
Candidate Qualifications and Requirements
· Degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field
· 7+ years of K-12 construction or program management experience
· Strong knowledge of SREF and public school construction requirements
· Experience with major building systems including HVAC, fire alarm, roofing, and structural systems
· Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
· Strong experience using Procore or similar construction management platforms
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
· Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
· Ability to work in active school environments with sensitivity to safety and operations
Preferred Experience and Skills
· Experience working with large public school districts
· Experience with K-12 capital improvement programs and bond-funded projects
· Deep familiarity with Florida school construction environments
