This position oversees staff and residents at South Mountain Secure Treatment Unit to support safety, structure, and positive development. The role ensures consistent supervision, training, and guidance for both youth and employees. As a Juvenile Justice Specialist Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Security Oversight:Maintain vigilance to keep residents, employees, and the facility safe by conducting searches for contraband
- Resident Guidance:Instruct residents in daily routines, treatment activities, and positive behavior growth
- Staff Leadership:Train and direct subordinate employees in effective care, supervision, and intervention methods
- Communication Duties:Share important updates and document incidents to ensure continuity of care
- Operational Support:Manage staffing, scheduling, and compliance with policies and procedures
- Policy Compliance:Follow agency regulations, confidentiality rules, and required procedures

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- This position requires shift work in a 24/7/365 operation, including holidays and weekends. You will have a 5-day workweek with 2 set regular days off. Work hours will be determined from the following 8-hour shifts with no duty-free lunch:
- 1st shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- 2nd shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- 3rd shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Voluntary and mandatory overtime and travel as needed
- This may change based on operational needs.
- You must be willing to accept employment at South Mountain Secure Treatment Unit and commute to this location in South Mountain, Franklin County.

- Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $61,862.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience in the care, custody, activities, or personal guidance of adolescents or adults in a human services or social services program, law enforcement or correctional program, or an educational, community, or military organization;or
- One year of experience as a Juvenile Justice Specialist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- One year of experience in the care, custody, activities, or personal guidance of adolescents or adults in a human services or social services program, law enforcement or correctional program, or an educational, community, or military organization; and an associate’s degree in social sciences, counseling, restorative justice, juvenile justice, child development, behavioral sciences, human services, criminal justice, education, or a closely related field;or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
