Junior Trademark Paralegal - Growing Law Firm

Premier law firm located downtown Chicago is seeking a detail-oriented Transactional Paralegal with trademark experience to support its growing practice. This role partners closely with attorneys on a broad range of transactional and intellectual property matters, with a strong emphasis on trademark compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios, including filings, renewals, office action tracking, and maintenance deadlines
• Prepare and file trademark applications via USPTO TEAS, monitor prosecution status, and coordinate with outside counsel when needed
• Conduct trademark clearance searches and summarize findings
• Draft and review licensing agreements, assignment documents, and consent agreements
• Maintain accurate docketing systems for trademark and franchise regulatory filings
• Assist with state franchise registrations and renewals

Qualifications

• 2+ years of transactional paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm setting
• Demonstrated experience with trademark prosecution and portfolio management
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
