Junior Gen AI Software Engineer
Duration: 12 Month Contract (Possible extension)

Job Description
This position is for an experienced Software Engineer with either work or personal project experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Generative AI. The role is a part of the Applied Research and Technology (ART) Aerospace Technologies Team, focused on designing and developing the next-generation avionics systems of the future.
Team Mission
The ART Aerospace Technologies Development Sandbox team is chartered with defining disruptive developmental process improvements for the company's business. The team's goals are to enable faster cycle times, lower total lifecycle costs, reduce technical debt, and increase reusability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and conclude experiments to accelerate business capabilities in Generative AI for safety-critical development.

Basic Qualifications
- Strong software development experience and skills.
- Proficient in Unix/Linux.
- Proficient in Python.
- Proven execution skills in the development of complex systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly to large audiences.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of AI/ML through research or practice.
- Experience in deploying Generative AI powered applications.
- Experience with Large Language Model (LLM) development frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Haystack).
