Our client , is a fast-growing commercial landscape company who specializes in design, installation and maintenance. They have an immediate need for a Junior Estimator to learn and grow with their highly collaborative team.
In this entry-level role, you will review landscape plans, construction drawings, and project specifications to support the estimating process.
You will perform quantity take-offs using estimating software and digital plan measurement tools, and enter that information into the proposal and bidding systems.
You will work closely with senior estimators to support project pricing and cost analysis.
You will also help keep bid documents and project files accurate and well organized.
You will connect with vendors and suppliers to gather current material pricing.
You will build your knowledge of landscape materials, installation methods, and construction sequencing and contribute to preparing accurate and competitive proposals.
Qualifications
Completion of postsecondary education in a related field ie. landscape technology, horticulture, construction management etc.
Comfortable reading measurements and are able to interpret and scale construction drawings.
Interest or previous experience in construction, landscaping, or the building trades
Exposure or previous experience with estimating, quantity take-offs or construction/landscape drawings is highly desirable.
