Junior Associate Attorney (Commercial Lending and Real Estate)

About the Position

Rick Steiner Fell & Benowitz LLP is seeking an attorney with experience in C&I, asset-based lending, and commercial finance. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex deals and provide strategic counsel to a diverse client base of institutional lenders and corporate borrowers, with exposure from initial term sheet through post-closing compliance and direct client contact.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Review credit memorandums.
  • Draft, review and negotiate financing documents, including term loans, revolving credit facilities, guaranties and security agreements.
  • Review title reports, surveys, leases, entity organizational documents and manage due diligence
  • Assist in managing closing logistics.


Ideal Candidate

  • Highly qualified C&I, finance or real estate associate with 1-3 years of law firm experience in commercial lending transactions on behalf of institutional lenders or new attorneys with a demonstrable interest in lending, banking and real estate.

  • Bar Admission in any state, pending application, or ability to waive-in, is required


Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package and a friendly working environment. The salary range for this position if $85,000-$120,000/yr. Actual salary will be commensurate with the applicant's experience and qualifications.

Location: This position is an in-office position at our New York City office.
