Founded in 2003, Boombah Inc. is a premier designer and manufacturer of sporting goods and apparel. We have experienced tremendous growth over the past 23 years and are looking to grow our Product Development team!

Our corporate headquarters is a 265,000 square foot facility located in Yorkville, Illinois with our own manufacturing facility located in the Dominican Republic. We have a staff of committed professionals, who strive to BE what no one else is and GIVE what no one else will to our customers.

We are looking for an individual who is just as driven as the athletes we serve. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Product Development and be responsible for creating and designing products that optimize function, value, and aesthetic appearance—helping our customers achieve their goals both on and off the field.


Job Responsibilities:

*Responsible for creating and developing sports apparel that is consistent with our brand’s identity and are on trend with the marketplace.

*Creates designs by utilizing sketching, 2D design software, & 3D modeling software to visually depict design ideas.

*Reviews, tests, and evaluates design concepts by computerized modelling and physical hands-on testing of models and documents findings.

*Researches market trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to assist in the development of products.

*Coordinates samples, material sourcing, cost estimates, testing, etc. with various partners.

*Maintains Tech Packs, Spec Sheets, Cost Sheets, and other product documentation.

*Collaborates and brainstorms with Product Development, Engineers, Production, Quality Assurance, and other cross functional members.

* Evaluates Quality issues, return rates, and sales to guide product revisions or new product development.

*Completes other miscellaneous duties assigned in the design and development of new and existing products.


Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel Design or Merchandising or related field, required.

*Minimum 1 + years of previous apparel design experience with a consumer products company, required.

*Minimum 1 year of product development experience with the ability to bring product concepts to life, required.

*Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud Applications – Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, and Acrobat, required.

*Expertise in CLO 3D, Browzwear and/or Gerber AccuMark preferred.

*Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.

*Proven ability to work in fast paced environment with tight deadlines while being detail orientated.

*Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.

*Creative self-starter, who is persistent, a strong team player, successful collaborator and takes ownership.

*Knowledge of various fabric and garment manufacturing methods and materials: fiber production, fabric formation, and wet processing ;required.

*Experience working with overseas team/vendors helpful. Spanish and/or Chinese a plus

*Must be able to commit to hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite in Yorkville, Illinois and 2 days remote each week.

*Must be able to travel up to 10% of time
