This position requires employees to be located in the Huntsville, Alabama - area in order to report to work on-site.

  • Carry out pre-determined and recurring cradle-to-grave contract administration duties.
  • Determine the contract methods for use in developing terms and conditions of solicitations
  • Obtain required reviews and/or approvals, assist with planning, execution, administration, and termination of contracts through formal solicitation or negotiation procedures
  • Evaluate contract price proposals and perform terminations and close-out of contracts
  • Negotiate and discuss costs/prices and terms and conditions
  • Participate in source selections working with evaluation teams
  • Provide procurement guidance to program offices, field offices and user functions

Qualifications

  • Must be located in the Huntsville, Alabama area
  • Secret Security Clearance preferred (Must be able to obtain a US Government Clearance)
  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience; Substitution: 4 years of work experience can substitute for degree
  • Knowledgeable in techniques for researching solutions and organizing and collaborating with teams.
  • Strong organization and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the acquisition lifecycle, to include requirements development and/or procurement execution and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of the Federal, DoD, and Army acquisition regulation and policies.
  • Able to address and resolve complex acquisition/contracting problems.
  • Current expertise in the acquisition and contracting processes involving weapon systems, services, supplies, and IT hardware, software, and services. (preferred)

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in an office environment. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.

To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
