Job Title: Java / Angular Full Stack Developer
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana, USA (Hybrid)
Work Model: Onsite 2 days one week, 3 days the following week
Duration: Contract – 8 months (till end of the year)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Java / Angular Full Stack Developer to join a fast-paced application development team. The role focuses on building and enhancing enterprise-level applications supporting agency and member management systems. The ideal candidate will have strong backend expertise in Java along with modern front-end experience in Angular.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Java and Angular
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Develop responsive, user-friendly front-end components using Angular
- Work with relational databases (IBM DB2 preferred) to design and optimize SQL queries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and product owners
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement
- Troubleshoot, debug, and support production applications
- Contribute to architectural decisions and implement best practices
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD processes
- Utilize Git for version control and Jira for sprint tracking
- Validate rating logic, data, and configurations before releases
- Support and enhance enterprise insurance applications
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in full stack Java development
- Strong experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot
- Experience with Angular (version 15 or higher; client moving to Angular 21)
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (IBM DB2 preferred)
- Experience in REST API and microservices development
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Experience with Git and Jira
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not mandatory)
- Experience with React or React Native (mobile exposure is a plus)
- Exposure to C# / .NET technologies
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or enterprise environments
