Janitorial Worker

This is an active role where you will be responsible for cleaning various areas within an industrial facility, including offices, hallways, cleanrooms, staircases, storage rooms, restrooms, and a café. You will perform tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, operating a floor scrubber, and replacing trash bins. The position requires navigating multiple areas by stairs and using the elevator only for equipment. Cleanroom maintenance includes wearing protective gear and using specialized cleaning tools.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, hallways, cleanrooms, staircases, storage rooms, restrooms, and café.
• Dust, sweep, mop, and operate floor scrubbers.
• Replace trash bins and sticky mats in front of cleanroom doors.
• Perform cleanroom cleaning using a backpack vacuum, sterile mop, and bucket.
• Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly Purge cleaning events.
• Clean café appliances such as microwaves, fridges, and countertops.

• 1+ years of cleaning experience.
• Good attitude and dependable personality.
• Comfortable using a backpack vacuum.
• Open to wearing proper lab equipment.
• Comfortable with no make-up, perfume, nails, and jewelry.

• Experience operating a floor scrubber is a plus.
• Ability to clean safely and post wet floor signs.

Work Environment

Work inside an industrial facility with two floors that include labs, office spaces, restrooms, and storage areas. You will work mainly independently but may collaborate with partners for certain tasks. The 2nd shift is from 12 Noon to 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime of 0-5 hours. Protective equipment such as closed-toed shoes, khakis or nice pants, and all necessary cleaning equipment is provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dexter, MI.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Dexter,MI.
