Commercial Programming Systems, Inc. (CPS) is an Information Technology consulting and staffing company offering a broad range of services aimed at helping our clients deliver high-quality, cost-effective systems.


ITLS Technician

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 635 total devices. Expected to run through the end of August with the potential for extensions or additional projects in the area.
  • Location: Onsite. Birmingham Alabama.


  • Specific locations, mileage, and visibility will be provided as the project plan progresses.
  • Schedule: Generally business hours, subject to change based on client needs.
  • Hours: Starting with 20 hours per week (awaiting confirmation from the client).
  • Travel/Expenses: Local travel only (1–3 locations per day). Mileage and drive time are covered.
  • Interviews: One 30-minute interview via Teams.
  • Interviews are available on Wednesdays.

Tasks:

  • Onsite Unboxing and Set up
  • Client will set up and perform cable management of each system onsite.
  • Client will work closely with the City to build an acceptable deployment schedule
  • Unbox the units and attach a power cable for the setup process.
  • Perform cable management.
  • Cables will be reasonably neat, but with enough slack so they are flexible.
  • Poweron system to ensure the unit boots.
  • Hand system over to City staff to perform end user turnup.
  • Remove the old system to a single designated point within that end user's location.
  • The City will provide a minimum of 10 units/end users to be installed a day (Minimum 2 week Run for 100 users)
  • If 10 users are not provided, C1 will charge the City a minimum of 4 units at the identified rate.
  • Client will work with the City to maximize daily production and scheduling of installations.
  • Client will work with the City to document and outline the best process for Client to work within the City's turn-up and migration requirements.
