Akkodis is seeking a IT Vendor Management Specialist/ Sourcing and Procurement for a Direct Hire job with a client in Westlake, OH. You will work to ensure that the Company’s vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations by delivering quality services on time. The detailed and focused management of our key vendors is a critical component to the success of delivering excellent customer experience to our internal and external customers. This is a hybrid position, requiring onsite Tu/ Wed, and as needed on other days.
Rate Range: $90,000/year to $110,000/year; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
IT Vendor Management Specialist/ Sourcing and Procurement job responsibilities include:
- Working with Company Stakeholders, lead/facilitate new vendor requirements gathering, selections and evaluations for hardware, software, cloud computing and professional services.
- Leads and assists with negotiating contract terms, conditions, modifications, incentives and remedies, while working with key stakeholders to ensure their requirements are met.
- Develop and execute standard onboarding, training and off boarding processes/policies for vendors
- Establish, maintain or update technology license management processes. Maintain or update technology contract library
- Partner with IT Delivery Managers to assure appropriate support processes and license compliance are established prior to project initiation and production deployments. Work closely with colleagues in IT and business operations to understand and meet their requirements and expectations of vendor performance
- Lead support and subscription rewal processes ensuring value and right sizing of the environment is incorporated into the renewal
- Lead multiple vendor selection processes with application delivery and business process owners across a wide scope of technology including initial need analysis, identifying potential solution providers, managing request for proposal process and vendor selection
- Review and monitor vendor invoices to ensure appropriateness. Facilitate dispute/issue resolution and escalation
- Complete vendor audits. Develop vendor performance scorecards and directly or through vendor owners monitor day-to-day vendor operations and performance against service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs), examine measured results for problem determination and root cause analysis, and works with the vendors on continuous improvement
- Ensure enterprise-wide needs for due diligence, risk assessment and continuing vendor monitoring are being accomplished
- Maintain the list of preferred vendors and keep abreast of the vendor landscape to retire and replace vendors as the market or individual vendor peformance changes
- Facilitates the design, implementation, and management of process improvements to deliver increase in operational efficiency in all contractor processes
- Focusing on continuously improving sourcing processes that align with business needs to ensure the best possible performance and outcomes for our internal customers
Desired Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of enterprise technology procurement, complex contract negotiations and vendor relationship experience in a multi-vendor IT environment (160+ major vendors)
- Experience working in a role that requires influencing across different levels in the organization (internal and vendors).
- Experience with various software (perpetual, subscription, cloud, etc.), and hardware licensing models and related support and professional services.
- Experience with vendor audits, and working with VARs, and familiarity with asset management and software licensing audits
- Creating vendor performance metrics/scorecards
- Ability to develop contracts and work with legal team as needed to negotiation with vendors
- Excellent relationship building skills and aptitude for working collaboratively with cross-functional groups. Must maintain a positive, partnering type approach with all stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage process improvement plans, implement programs and evaluate outcomes required
- Self-starter with high degree of drive, initiative, and follow through
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal required
- Possess excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Demonstrates professionalism to support a culture of integrity
- Ability to work in a high activity/fast paced environment
- Work will be conducted primarily at the Westlake Creative Studios headquarters building. Some travel may be necessary but likely not more than 10% of the time. A fast-paced environment with an occasional heavy workload. Job may require working more than 40 hours a week at times. Frequent fixed deadlines.
