IT Technician | Airport

The ideal candidate should have a passion for technology, a desire to help people in a fast-paced environment and find solutions. The individual in this role will be the first point of contact for all technical issues coming into the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The individual will work face to face with the Airline partners making sure they are always operating so that there are no delays with flights arriving and leaving the CLT Airport. That can come in the form of clearing paper jams, resetting virtual machines, ensuring printers or other gate systems and devices are working.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work directly with customers in person, via phone, via ticketing system, and email
- Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of: o Windows OS o EASE (Extended Airline System Environment) Common Use and EASE FX workstations o Basic network connections o Conference video and audio support
- Support/Setup of audio-visual equipment
- Printer Support/troubleshooting
- Virtual Machine Support/troubleshooting
- Paper Jams
- Paper Restocking
- Maintain accurate asset inventory
- Submit, escalate, update, resolve, and follow-up on ticket inquiries
- Effectively communicate in person, via phone or email updates to outstanding issues or resolution of customer requests Major Duties:
- Conduct wellness checks for system preventive maintenance to proactively diagnose Airline issues at common use Airline Gates and Ticket Counters
- Effectively diagnose and troubleshoot PCs, Virtual Machines, Landline phones, PA system, and display issues at common use Airline Gates and Ticket Counters
- Resolve 1st level and some 2nd level support issues concerning hardware, network, and active directory
- Respond to all phone and ticket queries, triaging each in a prioritized and timely manner
- Document solutions and findings within ticketing system resolution fields
- Records issues in the ticketing system and escalates complex issues to appropriate 2nd and 3rd level support
- Owns request tickets, performs follow-up, and ensure proper closure is reached and communicated
- Able to deploy OS images for Airport PCs
- Manages, maintains, and improves technical documentation
- Schedule and conduct Technology Escorts for Airport Vendors and Departments
- Accurately examine and schedule Airport conference room booking requests
- Assist Airport employees, vendors, departments, and external customers with the setup of Airport conference room A/V equipment for meetings Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills

- Computer Literacy – General understanding on Windows workstations/laptops, printers, scanners, phones, Microsoft Office, Virtual Machines.
- Customer service - Provide excellent customer service to users
- 1+ years of IT Help desk or Desk side support (answering calls, ticketing, basic troubleshooting)
