• Worksite: Leading university (Stanford, CA 94305 - Hybrid, Open to candidates located in the United States, Preference for candidates located in California or the West Coast, Possibility of on-site once every couple of months for important meetings)

• 20 hours/week, 8 Month Assignment, Possible extension

A leading university is seeking an IT Technical Writer. The successful candidate will write and review technical materials, including manuals, appendices, and instructions.

IT Technical Writer Responsibilities:

• Organise material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, online accessibility, and terminology.
• Design and format publications, and coordinate printing and distribution of technical documents.
• May assist in layout work.
• Monitor and resolve help tickets.

IT Technical Writer Qualifications:

• 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills in addition to relevant technical knowledge.
• Good working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Good working knowledge of content management systems such as Drupal.
• Good working knowledge of Google Workspace and Adobe Creative tools.

Shift:

• 20 hours per week/4 hours per day.
• Flexible within California business hours (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., one-hour lunch included).
