One year of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been at the supervisory level or above:
Eight years of experience in information technology or administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus six years of experience in information technology or administrative services; OR
An associate’s degree in information technology plus six years of experience in information technology or administrative services; OR
A bachelor’s degree plus six years of experience in information technology or administrative services; OR
A bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in an information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics field plus five years of experience in information technology or administrative services; OR
A master's degree plus five years of experience in information technology or administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any area.

A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion, provided the appointment is made from a Certificate of Eligibles.

Job Duties:
IT Infrastructure
-Administrates all IT infrastructure supporting OTS customers.
-Oversees teams providing physical and virtual servers, storage, mainframe, backups, database, directory services, secure file transfer, operating systems, cloud services, monitoring, procurement, support, and disaster recovery.
-Meets with agency administrators, users, vendors, and supervisory personnel to discuss and resolve operational problems, plans and administrative issues.
Facility
-Administrates section responsible for building infrastructure, physical security, monitoring, environmental systems, and redundancy supporting IT infrastructure within the OTS datacenters as well as receiving facilities for large scale deliveries and inventory management at the data centers.
-Facilitates meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, and state personnel to document capabilities and current and future requirements of the facility, documenting electrical, floor space, and HVAC plans.
-Develops plans and budgets to ensure reliable operation.
-Reviews customer needs and trends and sets strategic direction for line of service offerings for OTS IT infrastructure.
-Sets schedules for consolidation of computer systems and oversees the implementation of datacenter consolidation plans.
-Meets with department officials and staff in planning conversions, negotiating service levels, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
-Oversees and approves the selection, purchase and installation of data center equipment, software, and licensing.
-Approves purchases and contracts for data center services.
-Develops budget for personnel services, training, equipment, and all other Datacenter related activities.
-Creates Data Center Operations cost allocation and rate development.
-Monitors and suggests rate adjustments per expense and revenue reports.
-Defines and creates new lines of service as required.
-Oversees the collection and reporting of all line of service usage data across Data Center Operations lines of service.
